Over the past two years, more than 20 students have designed, manufactured and tested their own racing car at the garage in Stuttgart. The result: The F0711-15 - active aerodynamics with DRS and Powerground, self-made carbon rims and a self-welded titanium exhaust system that provides an unmistakable sound. These are just a few of the technical highlights of the car, with which the racing team competed against the international Formula Student teams in the 2020/21 season.
The team celebrates sixteen trophies and six victories in various disciplines at events in Austria, Hungary, Croatia, the Netherlands and Germany. The biggest success of the season comes at the Hungaroring in Hungary. Three victories, two second places and three other top ten results in nine different disciplines lead to second place overall in the Combustion Vehicle Class. This is made possible by perfect teamwork, the ability to overcome setbacks and hard work at the workshop as well as at the events.
When one Formula Student season comes to an end, the hard work does not stop: The construction of the F0711-16 is underway. Watch out: The team is still looking for motivated members, who want to contribute their ideas! Interested students can apply via the form on the team's webseite for the areas of hybrid, aerodynamics & frame, electrics, chassis and powertrain.
